The Appointment Process

Consultation

Your first appointment is very exciting, all the details of your wedding are important to us. The style of your dress you have in mind, the colour scheme,location and the backdrop to your wedding are all taken into consideration, as well as your personal style and colouring. We provide you with a full personal style consultation, where we will discuss your design ideas, look at fabric samples and styles. you will be able to try on dresses from the showroom collection to help you with your choice.

Measurements

We recommend that you wear a good fitting bra of a flattering shape for your toile fitting, a toile is a perfect pattern of your actual body shape. Please bring shoes of the approximate heel height that you intend to wear with your dress.

Toile Fitting

For Couture customers, a toile is made in calico cotton and fitted to your body. The neckline and design lines of the dress are drawn onto the toile whilst your wearing it. This way, we insure that the design lines flow around your body and provides the most flattering fit.

1st Fitting

the basic dress will be tacked together, to give an overall idea of the style. After fitting, samples decoration and details will be looked at and discussed, taking into consideration your hairstyle, jewellery, shoes or other accessories.

2nd/3rd fitting

Your dress will now have some boning/pads (if required) and some decorative details. It is not finished at this stage to allow for further fitting and enables us to make any alterations or new design features.

Final Fitting

Approximately 1-2 weeks before collection, this is to check the final touches and perfect your design.

Collection

Your dress can be collected at your final fit or if you prefer you can leave it with us until the day before your event. Your dress will be layered in tissue paper and packaged in a dress bag.

If packing is required for travelling, we are more than happy to help.
